<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a hybrid drive device capable of satisfactorily maintaining drivability, in case of the start of a vehicle in an electric travel mode. <P>SOLUTION: The hybrid drive device is provided with an input member which is connected to and driven by rotary electrical machinery and connected to and driven by an internal combustion engine via an input clutch; an output member which is connected to and driven by the input member, and configured to transmit the rotation of the input member to wheels; and a controller for controlling the rotary electrical machinery. The input clutch is provided with a plurality of frictional materials and an elastic member for pressurizing the plurality of frictional members with a prescribed energizing force, and is configured to perform torque transmission with the energizing force of the elastic member. The controller is configured to perform valve-opening/closing phase control for advancing or delaying the opening/closing phase of the valve body of the internal combustion engine via a valve-opening/closing phase adjustment mechanism, and to set the opening/closing phase of the valve body to an advanced state that is advanced, with respect to a prescribed reference phase in the stopped state of the internal combustion engine prior to the start of the vehicle, and to start the vehicle with the torque of the rotating electrical machine in the advanced state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
