PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair curler that needs no fixture such as a rubber band and a clip for fixing hair wound around a rod, and puts waves in the hair variously. SOLUTION: The hair curler is suitably used for a permanent wave rod which puts waves in the hair using permanent wave liquid and for a hot curler which puts waves in the hair by heating the hair. The hair curler 1 is provided with an elastic member 2 having a prism shape and flexibility, and a core 3 which extends to the inside of the elastic member 2 along the elastic member 2 in the longitudinal direction and has flexibility.
