PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device of a diesel engine, which suppresses an increase in black smoke during the combustion associated with EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) without ensuring new installation space on a cylinder head. SOLUTION: A supporting air supply means 29 for supplying supporting air into a combustion chamber 22 when injecting the fuel in a combustion chamber 22, during the combustion injection, is provided on a glow plug 28 provided on a cylinder head 21.
