RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR A WINTER TYRE TREAD

A rubber composition that can be used in particular as a winter tyre tread, with improved grip on melting ice, comprising at least one diene elastomer such as natural rubber and/or polybutadiene, more than 30 phr of a liquid plasticizer, between 50 and 150 phr of a reinforcing filler such as silica and/or carbon black, between 2 and 50 phr of hollow microparticles of at least one metal oxide such as an aluminosilicate, and between 2 and 50 phr of water-soluble short fibres such as PVA fibres. The invention also relates to the tyres of which the tread comprises such a composition.
