PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for quantitatively evaluating color shading of an optical device. SOLUTION: A shot image of a known subject is converted into electronic data by the optical device to be evaluated, the image data is divided in a vertical and horizontal mesh, and color data of each divided image data is calculated. Color shading of the optical device is quantitatively evaluated using coloring which is an average value of a degree of a hue of each mesh and color balance which is the maximum value of a degree of a hue of each mesh.
