The present invention discloses a power supply (2) connected to input terminals (1) arranged for connection to an AC power line with at least two electric phases and one neutral conductor (N), the power supply arranged to convert an input therefrom to a lower supply voltage (VS) for powering at least one circuit (3) arranged to measure the consumption data. The power supply (2) comprises a rectification circuit with a diode arrangement and an active regulation circuit. The diode arrangement being arranged so that an intermediate voltage periodically drops below a predetermined threshold voltage, and the active regulation circuit is arranged to convert energy only in periods where the intermediate voltage is below the threshold. In a specific aspect, the invention discloses a consumption meter arranged for connection to the AC power line and comprising such a power supply. |
