The present invention provides a near-infrared-absorbing material including: a luminescent agent, and a near-infrared-absorbing compound obtained by oxidizing a compound represented by the following formula (II): wherein R211, R212, R221, R222, R231, R232, R241 and R242 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic group or an aromatic group; R203, R213, R223, R233 and R243 each independently represent a substituent group; and n203, n213, n223, n233 and n243 each independently represent an integer from 0 to 4.
