The invention relates to diaryl cycloalkyl derivatives and their physiologically compatible salts and physiologically functional derivatives. The invention also relates to compounds of formula (I), in which the groups are defined as per the description, to their physiologically compatible salts and to a method for producing the same. The compounds have lipid and/or triglyceride reducing properties and are suitable e.g. for treating lipid metabolic disorders, type II diabetes and syndrome X.
