PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a coil having a curved portion in addition to a bent portion without using a winding tool or a die by bending a wire and also forming an arbitrary curved portion. SOLUTION: A processing apparatus 20 includes: turn tables 41, 71, 81 which are prepared to rotate; and a pair of protrusions which are prepared on the turn tables and used for pinching a wire 16 unreeled from a nozzle 21. The pair of protrusions have first stage protruding portions 42a, 43a, 72a, 73a, 82a, 83a which are formed on the turn tables; and second stage protruding portions 42b, 43b, 72b, 73b, 82b, 83b which are formed so as to continue to the first protruding portions, respectively. A spacing B between the second protruding portions is wider than a spacing A between the first protruding portions. A coil manufacturing method includes: bending a wire by bending a single part of the wire using the first stage protruding portions; and curving the wire by bending a plurality of parts in the longitudinal direction of the wire respectively at an obtuse angle using the second protruding portions.
