An aluminum alloy casting, in particular an aluminum automobile wheel, having a gloss level of 100% or more measured on the basis of JIS:Z8741 is formed by casting an aluminum alloy that includes 1.5 to 5.5 wt% Mg, 1.6 to 5.0 wt% Zn, no more than 0.4 wt% Si, no more than 0.4 wt% Fe, no more than 0.4 wt% Cu, no more than 0.2 wt% Ti, no more than 0.1 wt% B, and no more than 0.1 wt% Be, with the remainder comprising Al and unavoidable impurities, and subsequently polishing the obtained casting. As a result, an aluminum alloy casting, in particular an aluminum automobile wheel, that maintains high strength, hardness, and toughness and has excellent photoluminescent properties can be provided.
