<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infusion volume adjusting device capable of retaining an infusion volume to a predetermined set value, and automatically, surely and quickly detecting occurrence of an abnormal state in respective components comprising a system in the infusion system for infusing fluid such as drug solution to a living body or the like. <P>SOLUTION: This infusion volume adjusting device includes: an infusion pump 8 which is connected to each of a needle 3 and an infusion container 2 via an infusion tube, and adjusts the volume of infusion flowing from an infusion container 2 therein to send it towards the needle; a flow rate sensor 9 which measures the flow rate of the infusion delivered from the infusion pump 8; and a control means 7 which controls at least one of the voltage and frequency of a drive pulse to be impressed to a piezoelectric element of the infusion pump 8 so that a measured flow rate becomes a set flow rate. The control means 7 detects the occurrence of an abnormal state in the infusion container 2, the infusion pump 8 or the needle 3 on the basis of the measurement flow rate and at least one of the drive voltage and the drive frequency of the piezoelectric element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
