<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an observation elevator device in which a mirror plate is disposed in a car so that an observation window, car upper exterior, and a car lower exterior can be reflected thereon and look as if they extend to an entrance side, and the aesthetic appearance is improved by concealing the devices associated with the car. <P>SOLUTION: The mirror plate 16 is disposed in the car 7 so as to close the opening of a hoistway, and extend from the car upper exterior 15a upward and extend from the car lower exterior 15b downward.
