PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to readily and intuitively seize the meaning and the position of a traffic sign existing in the imaged region of a picked-up image. SOLUTION: An acquisition unit 106 acquires an image picked up by an imaging unit 104. A recognition unit 108 recognizes a traffic sign of a first country in the image acquired by the acquisition unit 106. A control unit 110 extracts from a storage 102 an image of a traffic sign of a second country which is made to correspond to the traffic sign of the first country recognized by the recognition unit 108, and controls display to be performed by a display unit 112, so as to display the extracted image of the traffic sign of the second country on the image acquired by the acquisition unit 106.
