PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive a vibration-proof optical element capable of moving to correct image shake and to be set in and out to an optical axis with simple configuration, less load, and high accuracy. SOLUTION: An optical device includes: a first moving member supported in a movable manner along a plane perpendicular to the optical axis with respect to an advancing/retracting member which can move in the direction of the optical axis of an imaging optical system; and a second moving member supported on the first moving member in a movable manner so as to move the vibration-proof optical element between a vibration preventing drive position where the vibration-proof optical element is disposed in the optical axis and a separated position where the vibration-proof optical element is separated from the optical axis. In an imaging mode, the second moving member is kept in the vibration preventing drive position and when the advancing/retracting member moves from the imaging position to the stored position in the direction of optical axis, a separation drive member supported on the advancing/retracting member is driven by the moving force of the advancing/retracting member to move the second moving member to the separated position by the separation drive member.
