Disclosed are a surgical image processing device and a method therefor. The surgical image processing device comprises an image input unit for receiving input in the form of endoscopic images provided by a surgical endoscope, an image storage unit for storing modelling images relating to a surgical implement performing surgery on a surgical object being photographed by the surgical endoscope, an image matching unit for matching the endoscopic images and the modelling images with each other and generating output images, and a screen display unit for outputting output images comprising the endoscopic images and the modelling images; and the surgical image processing device makes smooth surgery possible by providing actual images and modelling images together during surgery.
