PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the picture quality of an image recorded in an electronic paper. SOLUTION: After charge particles are deposited on a latent image formed on a latent image carrier, an electronic paper that contains colored charge particles and displays an image by moving the colored charge particles in a thickness direction is supplied to a region where an electric field is generated in the thickness direction. Thus, the latent image can be visualized. Even after the electric paper leaves the region, the density of the visible image can be improved by the presence of the charge particles adhering to the surface.
