METHOD FOR ACOUSTICAL DIAGNOSIS OF SEGMENTAL (POLYSEGMENTAL) PNEUMONIA IN CHILDREN

A method for the acoustical diagnosis of the segmental (polysegmental) pneumonia in the children comprises the multichannel synchronous electronic record of the breathing sounds followed by their computed processing. Phonospirograms "time-frequency-intensity" are compared in paired symmetrical points over the projection of the affected segment (segments). The decrease in the frequency response of the principal breathing sounds with the appearance of a packet of high-intensity wide-band pulse spectral components within the range of 150-1200 Hz at the end of the breath-in phase are suggestive of the segmental (polysegmental) pneumonia in the children.
