PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of local bearing in a contact face with a pinion gear in a differential case. SOLUTION: The differential gear 1 includes the differential case 2, a pinion shaft 5 installed in the differential case 2, the pinion gear 6 rotatably supported by the pinion shaft 5 and having a contact face 6a formed in a spherical shape, and side gears 7 engaging with the pinion gear 6. The central point C1 of the axial length L of a portion of the pinion gear 6 supported by the pinion shaft 5 is coincided in the axial direction of an axis Y with the central point C2 in the longitudinal length L2 of engaged tooth flanks of the pinion gear 6 and the teeth 62, 72 of the side gears 7.
