PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus and a control method in the communication apparatus in which video signals outputted from two source devices can be displayed on a sync device. SOLUTION: A communication apparatus includes a first control means and a second control means. The first control means causes a first control command instructing setting of a video stream to a first source device and a second control command instructing setting of a video stream to a second source device to be outputted from a first terminal. When the first and second control commands are outputted and the first source device and the second source device are connected through a relay device to the terminal, the second control means performs different control in accordance with whether or not the relay device is enabled to perform new video generation based on the video stream from the first source device and the video stream from the second source device.
