PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a saddle-ride type vehicle which allows compatibly achieving improvement of cooling property of a muffler and reduction of weight of a protector. SOLUTION: This motorcycle (saddle-ride type vehicle) 1 includes the muffler 30 arranged in a side part of a rear part of the vehicle 1 to muffle exhaust from an engine 20, the protector 40 for covering the muffler 30, an opening part 45 for ventilation formed in the protector 40 to lead travel wind to the muffler 30, and a step 18 mounted with a leg part in a getting-on state of an occupant.
