PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detector preventing incorrect detection of abnormality of an on-vehicle device and incorrect transmission of abnormality information to a server. SOLUTION: The abnormality detector, which detects abnormality of the on-vehicle device provided to a vehicle and transmits the abnormality information to a server, has an imaging device 70 which images at least one of inside and outside of the vehicle, and a controller 22. The controller has: a normal state storage means 80 which stores information regarding normal arrangement positions of a fixing part provided to the vehicle; and an abnormality detection prohibiting means 34 which prohibits detection of the abnormality of the on-vehicle device or prohibits transmission of the abnormality information when it is determined that the position of the fixing part imaged by the imaging means is deviated from the normal arrangement positions of the fixing part based on the information stored in the normal state storage means.
