PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information display device for construction machine, capable of performing accurate alarm/failure information display in many countries differed in language. SOLUTION: Upon occurrence of alarm/failure, a text format of a language with an error code and an error message being designated is obtained from a first data table. A processing means checks for whether the character number of the error message is a regulated character number of display scale of a display screen through word division, and displays the error message as it is together with the error code if it is not more than the regulated character number. If the character number is more than the regulated character number, the processing means performs abbreviation processing by use of a second data table to reduce the character number to the regulated character number or less, and then displays the abbreviated error message together with the error code. At that time, when pop-up function input is performed through a key pad, the error message before abbreviation is pop-up displayed instead of the abbreviation. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
