PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability of a microcomputer meter by properly discriminating simultaneous usage of two gas appliances even if the two gas appliances are simultaneously used. SOLUTION: This gas appliance discriminating device includes a flow rate table T in which a flow rate pattern inherent in each gas appliance is registered for each gas appliance, a gas flow rate detecting means 11 for detecting a flow rate of a gas supplied to the gas appliance, a flow rate change form operating means 12 for determining the present flow rate change form of the gas flow rate, a flow rate comparing means 13 for comparing the present flow rate change form with the registered flow rate pattern registered in the flow rate table, and a discrimination suspending means 15 for suspending the discrimination of a new gas appliance to the present flow rate change form, in a case when the present flow rate change form does not agree with any of the registered flow rate patterns as a result of the comparison, and a final part of the present flow rate change form is regarded as that corresponding to a case when the plurality of gas appliances are extinguished with time intervals.
