PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent accidents arising from automatic pin setter by dramatically raising the safety of work such as pin jam release, maintenance and inspection. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a safety device 10 linked to a control circuit where a relay coil 31 of a main relay 3 which drives a main motor 4 to activate a pin setter and a plurality of abnormality detection switches 6, 7, normally in closed condition, which open up when detecting abnormalities of such as deck section and turret section, are all connected in series between power source terminals a, b, and in-between the relay coil 31 and the abnormality detection switches 6, 7, inserted in series is the parallel circuit of normally open push button type start switch 13 and normally open contact 15a of self-holding relay 14 and, through this parallel circuit, the power supply circuit of relay coil 16 of self-holding relay 14 is formed and, through this normally closed contact 15b, the power supply circuit of each light-emitting diodes 11, 12 for displaying abnormalities each connected in parallel to the abnormality detection switches 6, 7 is formed.
