PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer, a printing method, and a printing program capable of decreasing a load acting on a motor when performing printing to a line-less label. SOLUTION: The load acting on the stepping motor 131 when peeling the line-less label from the roll PR and printing to the line-less label can be decreased since the torque of the platen roller 117 when drawing out the line-less label from the roll PR can be raised from the torque of the platen roller 117 when drawing out the label with a board from the roll PR by controlling the drive of the stepping motor 131 according to switching to a standard mode or a line-less mode.
