PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key management device which holds a firm lock state of a key in a simple configuration, enables an easy insertion and extraction of a specific plate, manufactured at low costs, and has high durability. SOLUTION: This key management device includes a user-specific plate A, a use key-specific plate B, a first plate receiving body 1, a second plate receiving body 2, and a crossbar-like slider 3 horizontally installed between the first and second plate receiving bodies 1, 2. In a locked state in which the second projecting key 33 of the crossbar-like slider 3 is fitted into the key hole B1 of the use key-specific plate B, the user-specific plate A is inserted and the first plate receiving body 1 is pressed down to press the slope part of the first projecting key 32 which is brought into surface contact with the operating slope part of the first plate receiving body 1 so as to move the crossbar-like slider 3 horizontally. Then, the slope part of the second projecting key 33 is brought into surface contact with the operating slope part of the second plate receiving body 2 for unlocking, and the first projecting key 32 is fitted into the key hole A1 of the user-specific plate A for locking.
