PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a vehicle capable of enlarging a lock-up area and securing resistance to engine stall. SOLUTION: When either of the condition that warming-up of an engine 4 is uncompleted and an intake air temperature is lower than a predetermined determination value or warming-up of the engine 4 is uncompleted and a transmission oil temperature is lower than a predetermined determination value, is established, enlarging of a lock-up area and securing of the resistance to the engine stall can be achieved by increasing lock-up release vehicle speed as compared with the time when the condition is not established.
