The present invention provides a terminal for supporting the enlargement of characters, a method for enlarging the characters of the terminal, and a recording medium which records the same. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the terminal for supporting the enlargement of the characters comprises: a memory unit; a display which displays an enlarged display region and a stream of characters; a character enlargement controller which displays the enlarged display region on the display, after receiving the shape and the size of a magnifier, and enlarges characters of coordinates of the magnifier as much as the received magnifying power in the enlarged display region that is determined by the size and the shape of the magnifier, wherein if the characters are displayed on the enlarged display region when the magnifier reaches the edge of a screen, the controller enlarges at least one of the displayed characters and characters which are connected in stream in the memory unit, so that the enlarged character may be displayed on the enlarged display region with the already-displayed characters; and a word checking unit which determines whether the characters are displayed in the enlarged display region. |
