<p>The invention relates to systems for serial decoding of data streams in a channel with noise, in particular to a serial Viterbi decoder for convolutional perforated and imperforated codes with a "Single-Input Multiple-Output" (SI??) structure. The technical result consists in making it possible to process coded blocks of finite length for constructions of the following types: terminated, truncated, annular (cyclic). The multichannel serial Viterbi decoder comprises an input buffer, a signal generator for reading a data word from the input buffer, a decoder for a field of data word commands, a channel parameter register unit, a "setting path metrics to zero" command processing unit, a "setting value of set path metrics" command processing unit, a "reading bit from path with set number" command processing unit, a "processing input readings" command processing unit, a RAM for the decoding paths and the path metrics, a unit for generating the base address of the RAM area for the decoding paths and path metrics for the current decoding channel, a unit for generating an address of a RAM cell for the decoding paths and path metrics and a decoding channel output data register unit.</p> |
