<p>Disclosed is an atmospheric pressure estimation device that estimates the atmospheric pressure to be applied to the calculation of control parameters for internal combustion engines. An estimated airflow passing an intake throttle valve is calculated based on the estimated atmospheric pressure, detected intake air pressure, and air intake throttle valve opening, and the estimated atmospheric pressure is updated so that the estimated airflow passing the intake throttle valve matches the detected airflow passing an intake throttle valve. The estimated airflow passing an intake throttle valve is calculated using the updated estimated atmospheric pressure. Updating of the estimated atmospheric pressure and calculation of the estimated airflow passing the throttle valve are successively executed, wherein the estimated airflow passing the throttle valve is subject to the intake airflow, and the estimated atmospheric pressure is subject to the atmospheric pressure.</p> |
