The invention relates to a magnetic coil assembly for the non-contact guidance of an endoscopy capsule. The magnetic coil assembly comprises a plurality of individual coils by means of which the components of a magnetic field and magnetic gradient fields or magnetic field maxima, by means of which the endoscopy capsule can be maneuvered, can be generated in a working volume. The working volume is restricted to a specific spatial region. In order to enlarge the spatial region in which the capsule can be maneuvered, according to the invention at least one movable or displaceable individual coil and at least one immovable individual coil are provided. Two individual coils are preferably combined into a coil pair, wherein certain coil pairs are movable. The working volume can thus be effectively enlarged according to the maximum possible displacement.
