<p>This invention relates to conveyor guides (10) comprising conveyor guide rail units (14), such as those used on automated handling lines where containers of different sizes are processed. One or more guide rails (14) are employed to the sides of the conveyor guide to ensure that articles follow a desired path. This invention provides an adjustable conveyor guide rail unit (14) that comprises a guide member (16,18) operable to be set in a plurality of discrete positions, thereby allowing the width of a channel (20) through which an article may be conveyed to be varied. Width adjustment is effected by rotating a spider (42) provided on a mount. The spider has legs of varying lengths. Each leg is provided with a foot that is received within a correspondingly shaped recess provided in the guide rail, thereby securing the guide rail in the desired setting.</p> |
