The invention relates to a valve (1) for carrying out the gas exchange in an internal combustion engine. According to the invention, the valve (1) comprises a diffuser (4) located in a first end region (2), a cylindrical body (7) located in a second end region (3) having a cylindrical surface (17) for the contact in translation motion along an axle (18) with an outer guide, the diffuser (4) is connected with the cylindrical body (7) by means of a first support column (5) and a second support column (6), both connected to the diffuser (4) and the cylindrical body (7), so as to form a profile in the shape of a secondary cut-out (10) which may be passed through by a gas mixture along a flow direction (16), said gas mixture being either directed towards the combustion chamber, or leaves the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine along a cavity provided in the cylinder cover, in the cylindrical body (7) there being provided a main cut-out (9) wherefrom there results a traction contact surface (11) which may come into contact with the contact surface of an element or outer system which exerts a force upon a traction contact surface (11) in order to close the valve (1) or against the force of an element or actuator-type system actuating the valve (1) by contacting a pushing contact surface (12), in the cylindrical body (7) there being provided a series of circular recesses (8) in order to diminish the friction of the cylindrical body (7) in the outer guide, for inserting some elements for sealing the cylindrical body (7) in its motion within the outer guide, and the connection between the first support column (5), the second support column (6) and the diffuser (4) may be carried out in the area of the secondary cut-out (10) by means of an outline which defines a secondary diffuser (13). |
