PURPOSE: A coding method of a block based depth information map and three dimensional video coding method using the same are provided to efficiently encode/decode a depth information map and increase the quality of an image. CONSTITUTION: A coding method of a block based depth information map reconfigures a depth information map by performing a bit decoding method by the predetermined size of a block.
