The method involves detecting an exhaust parameter during the operation of an internal combustion engine (3), and determining a size of a drop of a reducing agent to be added in dependence of the exhaust parameter. A supply pressure of the reducing agent is adjusted towards an exhaust pipe (2) in dependence of the size of the drop, where the reducing agent is added by an addition unit (8) into the exhaust pipe. An independent claim is also included for a device for adding a liquid droplet reducing agent in an exhaust pipe. |
