PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can set processing conditions such as copy, scan and fax even after document reading is started. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a scanning unit that reads a document; a control unit that controls read of the document by the scanning unit; a setting information acquisition unit that acquires a setting information where processing conditions of image processing are stored after the scanning unit starts to read the document; a storage control unit that stores image data created by reading by the scanning unit into a storage area and reads the image data stored in the storage area from the storage area after the setting information acquisition unit acquires the setting information; an image processing unit that processing images based on the processing condition to be set by the setting information in relation to the image data that are read by the storage control unit; and an output unit that outputs the image data that are subjected to image-processing by the image processing unit.
