PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drug effective for the prevention and the treatment of pollinosis, and the amelioration of the symptoms thereof by promoting the production of filaggrin in the epithelial cells.

SOLUTION: This invention relates to a promotor for filaggrin production in the epithelial cells containing the extract of Epiphyllum oxypetalum. The extract of Epiphyllum oxypetalum has an effect of promoting the production of filaggrin in epithelial cells by increasing the manifestation of profilaggrin in the epithelial cells, and is effective for the prevention and the treatment of pollinosis, and the amelioration of the symptoms thereof.
