PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely reduce a quantity of greenhouse gas emissions when a print of an image is output, by improving concern for reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus having a printing output function for printing an image on paper, includes: a printing condition setting means for setting a printing condition for executing the printing output function; a greenhouse gas emission quantity obtaining means for obtaining a quantity of greenhouse gas emissions based on a set printing condition; a greenhouse gas emission quantity aggregating means for aggregating obtained greenhouse gas emission quantities every predetermined period; a greenhouse gas emission quantity determining means for comparing the aggregated greenhouse gas emission quantity with the upper limit of the quantity of greenhouse gas emissions, set according to the predetermined period, and determining whether the aggregated quantity falls in a predetermined range set relative to the upper limit of the greenhouse gas emission quantity; and a function limiting means for limiting the printing condition setting means according to the determined result.
