The lubrication system (1) has a pressure circulatory lubrication for supplying a bearing point (2) with a lubricant. The lubricant is collected in a lubricant collection pan (3), from which the lubricant is pumped out with a lubricant pump for pressure circulatory lubrication. Another electrically operated lubricant pump (4) is provided, with which the lubricant is brought to the bearing point during shutdown of the internal combustion engine.
