PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone to which a magnetic sensor is mounted, and which can acquire an accurate geomagnetic direction taking into consideration effects of magnetism generated by a current flowing through the mobile phone when geomagnetism is detected and magnetism generated by a magnetic component. SOLUTION: A magnetic sensor 150 is mounted to a mobile phone 180. A plurality of operation states of a circuit within the mobile phone and offset values indicating direction and magnitude of magnetism other than geomagnetism that affects the magnetic sensor are associated and stored in a storage section 140 in advance. The magnetism other than geomagnetism is, for example, magnetism generated by a current flowing through the circuit in the corresponding operation state, and magnetism generated by a magnetic component. The direction of magnetism detected by the magnetic sensor 150 is corrected by the offset value associated with the state of the mobile phone when the magnetism is detected, so that a geomagnetic direction is acquired.
