PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling fan which is installed on a ceiling, used for reducing sensible temperature by a direct wind and for circulation of air in a room and prevents residents from experiencing a feeling of oppression due to the thickness of a ceiling fan body. SOLUTION: The ceiling fan has a cover beneath a centrifugal impeller, which covers the bottom face and the side face of the centrifugal impeller and includes a suction opening and an outlet, wherein a ceiling face and the cover form a casing of the centrifugal impeller. An air flow pressurized by the centrifugal impeller can be maintained without such a construction as a case containing the centrifugal impeller, using the ceiling face and the cover as the casing of the centrifugal impeller, thinning the ceiling fan body.
