PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collagen decomposition inhibitor comprising a PDE (phosphodiesterase) inhibitor as an effective ingredient and a therapeutic agent for periodontitis comprising the collagen decomposition inhibitor as an effective ingredient. SOLUTION: A PDE inhibitor that remarkably inhibits shrinkage of collagen gel has been found out. The collagen decomposition inhibitor comprises the PDE inhibitor as an effective ingredient.
