PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for improving the cleanness of a disk drive device, and maintaining the occurrence rate of TA failure at a low level when a gap between a magnetic head and a recording disk during tracing by the optical head is reduced. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a disk drive device includes an assemble step of joining at least a bearing unit 48 to a hub 20 to assemble a sub-assembly in a clean room 101, an injection step 110 of injecting a lubricant into the bearing unit 48, a cleaning solution discharging step 210 of discharging a cleaning solution 203 to the hub 20, a cleaning solution suction step 220 of sucking the cleaning solution 203 discharged to the hub 20, and an enclosure step 400 of enclosing the sub-assembly in an enclosure.
