摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To seam a cap on a container by rotating a servomotor with a necessary command torque for rotating a capping head and to determine whether a capping condition is satisfactory or not basing on the tightening torque recorded to the completion of the capping detected by a torque detector. SOLUTION: This capping apparatus 1 includes a controller 12 for controlling the operation of a servomotor 11, the drive source of a capping head 7. The controller 12 determines whether capping is done satisfactory of not after tightening based on the torque waveform of the tightening torque in tightening a cap 8 on a container 4 by the capping head 7. That is, the controller 12 determines whether capping is satisfactory or defective with a beret cap waveform based on the torque waveform of tightening torque in the time zone tx for determination going back a predetermined length of time from the completion of tightening. Therefore, even if the engagement start timing for container 4 and cap 8 has dispersion in individual caps 8, it is possible to surely determine whether capping is satisfactory or not after the completion of tightening.
