<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front body structure of an automobile capable of further increasing the transmission efficiency of an input at the time of collision of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: Step parts 12g extending in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle are formed at the portions of the lateral side parts 12a, 12b of a bulk head 12 excluding cutout parts 12f where the portions face a door belt line reinforcement 10, respectively. A reinforcement 17 of U-shape in longitudinal section having a vertical wall part 17a extending in the vertical direction, a flange part 17b formed, by bending, at the upper edge of the vertical wall part 17a, and a flange part formed, by bending, at the bottom edge thereof is attached to an upper member 3.
