PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection control device which starts an internal combustion engine by determining a cylinder without discharging unburned fuel when a cam angle sensor dose not work normally. SOLUTION: In a crank rotor, a single missing tooth 300 and continuous missing teeth 302 are alternately formed at each 90°CA, and in a cam rotor, a tooth 310 is formed corresponding to the missing tooth 300 at this side of the top dead center of a cylinder #1 and the missing tooth 302 at this side of the top dead center of a cylinder #3. The fuel pressure of the fuel supplied from a high-pressure pump is different between top dead centers of the cylinder #1 and the cylinder #2, and different between top dead centers of a cylinder #3 and a cylinder #4. In the case that a cam angle sensor dose not work normally and does not output a cam angle signal for detecting the tooth 310 of the cam rotor, the cylinder can be determined without injecting the fuel based on the crank angle signal for detecting the missing teeth 300 and 302 and the fuel pressure of the high-pressure pump detected by the fuel pressure sensor. The fuel is injected from a fuel injection valve based on a result of the determination of the cylinder, and the injected fuel is ignited by an ignition plug. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
