PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a paper feeding unit capable of excellently restraining double feeding of a printing medium. SOLUTION: This paper feeding unit includes a pickup roller 56 for making carrying force act in the carrying-out direction by contacting with an upper surface of the sheet-like printing medium P and a friction roller 51 for making resistance force act on the under surface side of the printing medium P in a position opposed to this roller, and includes a guide wall 60 of a horizontal attitude for connecting with an under surface of the printing medium P of a carrying-out object. A double feeding preventive pad 61 is stuck to a downstream position in the carrying-out direction with the friction roller 51 as a reference on an upper surface of this guide wall 60.
