PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of correcting a current instruction value by correctly detecting lateral flow of a vehicle even in any traveling state and performing safe and comfortable linear advancement traveling. SOLUTION: The electric power steering device includes an action force detection means for detecting action force applied to a steering mechanism; a rotation angle detection means for detecting a rotation angle of the steering mechanism; and a motor current correction value calculation part for determining the traveling state of the vehicle based on the action force, the rotation angle and a vehicle speed, calculating the motor current correction value based on the determination result of the traveling state and the action force and correcting the current instruction value by the motor current correction value.
