<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device and a power supply control method of the imaging device, wherein a camera can turn off power supply not by an external device but by the camera itself, so as to reduce the load of a battery, while reducing the weight of a vehicle by shortening a cable length. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging device is equipped with: an imaging element 118 for receiving light from a subject and converting the light to an electric signal; a video signal processing circuit 116 for performing signal processing on a video signal generated based on the electric signal; a power supply circuit 114 for supplying power to the video processing circuit; a signal detection unit 112 for receiving a back lamp signal indicating light-on or light-off of a back lamp from a back lamp 70 installed at a back part of a vehicle; and a power supply control unit 112 for controlling the power supply circuit based on the back lamp signal so that the power supply is turned ON in time of light-on of the back lamp, the power supply is turned ON for a preset time after the light-off of the back lamp, and the power supply is turned OFF after the preset time has elapsed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
