The arrangement has a processing device (Va1) comprising an electronic ballast (EVG1) that is coupled with rectifier output terminals (GND), where potential at one of output terminals represents reference potential for the ballast. A dimming signal input connector (K) is coupled with an input terminal. Potential dividers (RL11, RL12) are coupled in series between the input terminal and the output terminal such that a tap point (A1) of the dividers is coupled with a dimming input (St1) of the ballast. A diode (D1) is coupled in series between the input terminal and the dividers.
